Council meetings are usually open to the public with agendas and reports available online.

You are welcome to attend most Otago Regional Council and Committee meetings. Agendas will be available at least two working days before each Council or Committee meeting under the event listing

Watch online

Meetings are livestreamed to the public via the ORC YouTube channel. Other public sessions are recorded and available online. If there are any public-excluded business items on the agenda, you will be asked to leave the meeting at that stage and the livestream will be adjourned.

You can watch Council and Committee meetings live via the ORC YouTube channel.

The first meeting was recorded 20 April 2020, so you can find meetings from this date to present day on our YouTube channel.

Watch in person

If you wish to attend in person, Council and Committee meetings, as well as workshops, are usually held at:

  • Council Chamber,
  • Level 2, Philip Laing House,
  • 144 Rattray Street
  • Dunedin

But confirm the location on the event listing, as these may be held in other locations around Otago.

Speak at a meeting

If you would like to speak at a meeting, public forum is usually held at the start of Council and Committee meetings. Requests to speak must be made to the governance support team at least one working day prior to the meeting and are confirmed at the Chair’s discretion.
