Council meetings are open to the public with agendas and reports available online.

You are welcome to attend Otago Regional Council and Committee meetings. Agendas will be available at least two working days before each Council or Committee meeting under the event listing

Watch online

You can watch Council and Committee meetings live via the ORC YouTube channel.

Other public sessions are recorded and available online (usually the following day). If there are any public-excluded business items on the agenda, general public will be asked to leave the meeting when moving to public excluded items and the livestream will be adjourned.

The first meeting was recorded 20 April 2020, so you can find meetings from this date to present day on our YouTube channel.

Watch in person

If you wish to attend in person, Council and Committee meetings, as well as workshops, are usually held at:

Otago Regional Council Chamber
Level 2, Philip Laing House
144 Rattray Street
Dunedin

But please confirm the location on the event listing, as meetings may be held in other locations around Otago.

Speak at a meeting

If you would like to speak at a meeting, referred to as public forum, this is held at the start of Council and Committee meetings. Requests to speak must be made to the governance support team at least one working day prior to the meeting and are confirmed at the Chair’s discretion.
