The spray will be applied by a ground-based crew, and only juvenile willows and pest plant species will be targeted.

Actual dates of spraying will depend upon weather and contractor availability. Spraying is planned to commence on 6 April and be completed by the end of May.

The rivers affected are the Kaihiku, Tuapeka, Waitāhuna and Ōwaka.
