The 2025 election was held on 11 October 2025.
Local elections are held every three years by postal vote.
2025 residents and other ratepayers in Otago had the chance to vote for 12 councillors elected from four constituencies based on area using the Single Transferable Vote (STV) system.
These constituencies are Dunedin (five councillors), Dunstan (four councillors), Molyneux (two councillors) and Moeraki (one councillor).
This result includes all ordinary and special ballots cast through the close of voting at noon, 11 October 2025.
