Other Information:

• Complex of dense and less dense swamps.
  
  
• Presence of waterfowl.
  
  
• Composition of cabbage tree (Cordyline australis), flax, juncus rush, coprosma, raupo (Typha orientalis), sedge, gorse, and manuka. ²
  
  
• Areas of stagnant water with flax, rushes, tussock, manuka, broom, gorse and sphagnum moss.
  
  
• Includes Shagree Creek Swamp, which is listed in the Clutha District Plan as a Significant Wetland. ³⁷
  
  
• Described as a relatively unmodified thick coastal swamp. Habitat bisected by a bridge and road. ³⁷
  
  
• Excellent Fern Bird habitat. ³⁷
  
  
• Described as flax/Carex swamp, with jointed wire rush/oioi. ³⁶
