Description:

A small pond and swamp area within the Otanomomo Tuatiki Scientific Reserve. The only reserved stand of alluvial plain podocarp (Podocarpus sp.) forest in the Otago Land District. 1

Other Information:

Called the Otanomomo Scenic Reserve in the Clutha District Plan, where it is listed as a Significant Wetland. Described as rush and sedge swamp, shrub swamp and flax swamp, with a farm dam at the lower end of the wetland. 37
