Description:

A large area of wetlands (including tarns, kettle holes, restiad bogs, cushion bogs, rush and sedge swamps, moist depressions and seepages) west of Lake Wakatipu in the Von Valley.

2.5 ha.

Altitude:

500 - 540 m above sea level.

33 km Northwest of Kingston.

Habitat for nationally or internationally rare or threatened species or communities. Presence of threatened plant species Cardamine sp., Oreomyrrhis colensoi var. delicatula, Crassula multicaulis, Isolepis basilaris, Tufted hair-grass (Deschampsia caespitosa), Ranunculus ternatifolius and Brachyscome linearis. 1
