The Catlins Integrated Catchment Group (CICG) is being formed to collaboratively develop a Catchment Action Plan (CAP) for the Catlins Freshwater Management Unit (FMU).

The Catlins Freshwater Management Unit (FMU) is located along the southern coast of Otago.
Swimming water quality at Pounawea (LAWA)
Water quality is regularly tested from November to March. (note - I'm renaming this from "Bathing water quality".
Regionally Significant Wetlands
Otago is home to several nationally significant wetlands, including scroll plain/meander wetlands (Upper Taieri River), string bog/patterned mire wetlands (Lammerlaw Range), saline wetlands (Sutton Salt Lake), and ephemeral wetlands (Von Valley), each supporting unique ecosystems
