Gordon Road bus diversion

You may have noticed that the main street of Mosgiel is in need of repair. These repairs will start late-January and buses will be diverted until the work is complete approximately 4-6 weeks later.

Buses will be diverted from Gordon Road and will instead travel down Church Street before rejoining Gordon Road and continuing to the city. Temporary bus stops will be set up along this diverted route.

Ridge Runner diversion during on campus flood protection works

Dundas Street bridge will be closed while we work on the final stage of the Leith Flood Protection Scheme. This work aims to reinforce the areas surrounding the Leith and minimise the effect of future flood events.

While the bridge is closed, the Ridge Runner bus (route 15) will detour around Dundas Street, and eight existing bus stops will be temporarily closed. This work is scheduled to start in late January. The Ridge Runner will travel via Albany, Forth, Union, and Clyde streets.

The campus is also serviced by: Port Chalmers to City (route 14), City to Port Chalmers (route 14), Concord to University (route 37), University to Concord (route 38), Balaclava to Logan Park (route 63), and Logan Park to Balaclava (route 63). These routes won’t be affected by the bridge closure.

Bus hub construction

After speaking with retailers, it was agreed that we would stop construction of the bus hub over the holiday period in order to reduce impact to those businesses during that important time of year.
