Information gathered from these flights is used to compile an accurate picture of Otago’s rabbit population.

Skilled and experienced pilots and council staff undertake these flights and ensure disruptions to land occupiers and stock are kept to a minimum.

Other pest species, included in the Regional Pest Management Plan (2019–2029), will also be surveyed during these flights.
