If a person who made a submission, on the proposal for the new Pest Plan, disagrees with the decision of Council, they can make an appeal to the Environment Court to amend or overturn that decision.
Once the appeals process is notified, submitters have 15 working days to lodge an appeal.
The timeframe for appeals will be determined by the date that a new Pest Plan is endorsed by Council. This is likely to be in mid-2028.
We will add relevant information to this space, as it becomes available.
Once the appeals process has concluded, and any required changes to the Pest Plan have been made, Council will endorse the new Pest Plan. They will affix the Council Seal to the plan, and the plan will become operative.
The proposed date for an operative Pest Plan is 1 July 2028.
