The Opportunity

We are looking for a Business Support Coordinator to join our Business Support team on a permanent full-time basis, (37.5 hours per week) basis, in our busy Dunedin office. In this role you will be providing business support services to the organisation to the successful delivery of their work programmes.

The purpose of this position is to assist and support Executive Assistants with a range of activities including travel and event management that support the efficient function of their directorates.

As a Business Support Coordinator, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing general business support assistance to enhance the work of the Business Support Team
  • Supporting and assisting EAs to manager travel and accommodation requirements for managers and staff
  • Assisting with the processing of purchasing orders as required
  • Supporting and planning and coordination of large Council events for both internal and external stakeholders
  • Building and maintaining effective working relationships with the wider team and stakeholders

About You

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • NCEA Level Two English and Maths
  • Microsoft Office skills - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
  • Sound interpersonal skills with demonstrated initiative, flexibility and ability to work proactively
  • Planning and organising skills
  • Ability to prioritise workloads and negotiate deadlines in the face of competing demands
